Our Quill watercolour brushes are sometimes referred to as a wash. The colour carrying capacity is extreme and it delivers with incredible control.

Watercolour artists love the performance of our synthetic squirrel blend because it so closely mimics the interlocking structure of natural squirrel, holding large amounts of water and pigment, slowly releasing it to provide excellent coverage and control for large areas and wet-on-wet techniques. Our synthetic squirrel has a slightly more firm blend, allowing for even greater control than natural hair with endless delivery of colour.
