Who we are

Blank Canvas Art Supplies officially opened our doors July 4th 2023.

Blank Canvas Art Supplies is a specialty retail store in downtown Charlottetown, PEI, offering a selection of art and craft supplies that range from professional to amateur. At it's core, Blank Canvas caters to artists and hobbyists, as well as teachers, parents and students. Gifts for every age and skill level are available online and in-store.

Blank Canvas began as a dream that for many years, felt unattainable. After spending almost 10 years in Toronto, Beth moved home to PEI to open the business.

Blank Canvas has received a warm and invited welcome from the community and is so thankful to all of our customers for their support of our small business.

After our 2-years located at 10 Prince Street, Blank Canvas has moved into a new home inside the Confederation Court Mall. More centrally located, find us in a larger space where we hope to grow with the community for years to come!

Beth (owner)

Born and raised in Stratford, PEI, Beth began her artistic journey after high school, moving to Toronto in 2005 to attend the Visual Arts Program at George Brown College. She later returned to PEI to pursue a Bachelor of Arts, completing an Anthropology degree and Fine Arts History minor. Beth gained professional experience through two consecutive summer internships at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery. After moving back to Toronto in 2013, Beth discovered her true passion where she went on to manage a prominent art supply store in the city. This sparked the entrepreneurial vision that led her to move home and open her own retail space in PEI.

Today, Beth is an active and dedicated member of the Prince Edward Island arts community. She currently serves on the board of Creative PEI as the Visual Arts representative. With clear goals for expanding and enriching the Charlottetown arts scene, Beth is committed to continuing her work of support the creative arts.
