Adults Introduction to Mixed Media (3 Sessions) June 7, 14 & 21st

The Confederation Court Mall is closed on Sundays, students must enter the mall through the Holman Grand Hotel Lobby. Past the large white doors into the mall, around the escalators. All other mall doors will be locked.

Registration is available for all 3 sessions or by individual class.

All materials are included. Aprons are available to all students but because we often utilize various materials, we recommend that students wear clothes that can get messy.

Sunday, June 7th: Painted Tote Bags
Turn a functional cotton tote into a one-of-a-kind statement piece that matches your personal style! Using vibrant paints, you will explore color mixing and creative composition to bring your vision to life.
The session focuses on fun, experimental mark-making and durable design, ensuring you leave with a unique, eco-friendly accessory ready for everyday use. It is a relaxed way to get creative and head home with a practical masterpiece.

Sunday, June 14th: Mixed Media Collage
Grab a brush and get ready to mix things up! This workshop combines the best of both worlds: painting and collage. You’ll play with a colorful blend of acrylic paints, tissue paper, newspapers, and magazine clippings to build a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
We’ll show you how to layer paint with paper scraps to add cool textures and depth to your work. It’s an upbeat, hands-on session focused on having fun and seeing how everyday materials can transform into a vibrant painting. You’ll head home with a finished piece of art and fresh ideas for your next creative project.

Sunday, June 21st: Polymer Clay Creatures
Spend a creative session building your own one-of-a-kind 3-D creature from scratch. You will learn how to shape polymer clay by hand and use various tools to add fun details like fuzzy fur, shiny scales, or expressive wings.
This class is all about experimenting with shapes and textures to bring a unique character to life. You will head home with a finished handmade figure and the basic skills to keep making and playing with clay on your own.
