Want to try acrylic painting for the first time? Perhaps you already paint but want to learn more. This series will give you the dedicated time and friendly atmosphere you need to create new paintings each week.

Learn how to paint with acrylics during this four-session workshop. Each session combines theory and hands-on practice to help you understand how to approach your next project. By the end of the course, you’ll understand the basic tools and techniques used to create acrylic paintings and have the confidence to continue exploring this versatile medium on your own.

All materials are included. By the end of the course, you’ll take home your own set of primary colour acrylic paints, set of brushes, canvas paper, reference materials, and a final 8x10” painting.

Session 1: November 14th Understanding Colour
Learn techniques for mixing clean, vibrant colours and put those skills into practice by
matching colours from references through a series of energetic colour studies.

Session 2: November 21st Making Marks
Discover the many ways paint can be applied to a surface to create different effects, textures, and expressions. Explore how artists throughout history have used brushwork and mark-making to bring their paintings to life.

Session 3: November 28th Seeing the Light
