Acrylic Colour Theory - Wednesday, October 14th 6:30-8:30pm

The Confederation Court Mall doors are locked at 6pm, students must enter the mall through the Holman Grand Hotel Lobby. And then past the large white doors into the mall, around the escalators.

In this beginner-focused workshop, we replace colour confusion with a clear approach to mixing a range of hues. Using a limited primary palette of just one specific red, yellow, and blue, you will learn the 3-to-99 method to be able to produce nearly 100 distinct variations.

The session covers basic colour wheel fundamentals—including primary, secondary, and tertiary relationships—so you can confidently mix vibrant secondaries, deep neutrals, and any shade you see in nature. You will leave with hands-on practice, reference swatches, and the skills to continue colour mixing independently.

To help us, we will be utilizing ColourJot templates (created by a Canadian company). These specially designed layouts act as the perfect guid for your mixing.

Take home products: your finished colour wheel and a ColourJot template of your choice.

No experience necessary.

Blank Canvas requires a minimum of 3 students per class; if we cannot meet that minimum, the class will be canceled and students will be refunded or issued a store credit. Notice for any cancelations will be sent via email by noon of the class date.
