3-Colour Watercolour Theory June 10th

The Confederation Court Mall doors are locked at 6pm, students must enter the mall through the Holman Grand Hotel Lobby. And then past the large white doors into the mall, around the escalators.

In this beginner-focused workshop, we sweep away the "colour confusion" and replace it with a systematic, foolproof way to create a breathtaking range of hues. You will leave this class with the confidence to mix any colour you see in nature using a limited primary palette.

The core of this class is the 3-to-99 method. We use one specific Red, Yellow, and Blue to generate a massive spectrum of nearly 100 variations. You’ll discover how to create vibrant secondaries, deep tertiaries, and go home with the skills to keep mixing!

To make this process effortless, we utilize ColourJot templates (created by a Canadian company). These specially designed layouts act as a GPS for your mixing.

• Instead of messy blobs on a page, ColourJot templates provide a structured grid that guides your ratios.

• The templates allow you to see the transition from one hue to the next, making it easy to "jot" down exactly how you achieved a specific shade.

• By the end of the class, your completed ColourJot sheet will be a professional-grade reference tool you can use for every future painting project.
