Join us for Drawlloween 2025, a fun, FREE drawing event during the month of October! This is your chance to dust off your sketchbook and fill it with fresh, spooky creations.
Drawlloween is a modern art challenge that happens every October. While its exact origin is unclear, it was popularized by artist Mab Graves, who creates an official prompt list each year, that is widely used. It has become a fun, community-driven event!
Register and take part in this activity to win prizes (scroll for more information).
Relax and have fun! Your art will not be judged or ranked. This is a creative challenge, not a competition, and the real goal is to simply make art and connect with our community.

How does it work?
Over the month of October, Blank Canvas will follow Mab Graves Drawlloween prompts to kickstart your month of drawing (see all prompt lists below).
While similar to Inktober, we're sticking to traditional mediums like graphite, charcoals, colour pencils, etc. We encourage artists to really have fun with the different prompts and try something new!
To make participation easier, Mab offers three different prompt lists:
1) a full 31-day list for those who want to draw every day
2) a "Lite List" for every other day
3) a weekly list for more manageable participation.
The prompts are designed for artists of all skill levels and mediums to get creative with a spooky theme. All three lists are posted below, and will be available on our social media pages @blankcanvasartsupplies -

1) Daily List
The original and most challenging way to participate in Drawlloween is the daily list. This option provides a new, unique prompt for each of the 31 days in October, encouraging artists to create a fresh piece of work every day. It can be an intensive but rewarding approach that helps develop consistency and quick-thinking creativity. The daily list is the perfect choice for artists who are ready to fully immerse themselves in the challenge and create a significant body of work by the end of the month.
All prompts are completely open to individual interpretation and participants are encouraged to find their unique style.

2) "Lite" List
For a more manageable way to participate in Drawlloween.
The "Lite" list provides prompts for every other day, perfect for those who want to join in without the pressure of a daily commitment.
All prompts are completely open to individual interpretation and participants are encouraged to find their unique style.

3) Weekly List
For the busiest of bees who still want to participate but may not have the time.
The "Weekly" list offers a single prompt for each week of October, allowing participants to take their time and create a more detailed piece. We know you're busy and hope you decide to take part.
All prompts are completely open to individual interpretation and participants are encouraged to find their unique style.
Alternatively, participants are welcome to choose any 5 prompts throughout the entire month.
